Construction work at the airport

We are upgrading the check-in area and baggage handling system, with work starting on 13 April. During the construction period, capacity will be somewhat reduced, and passengers are advised to allow extra time for check-in and bag drop. The upgrade is expected to be completed around 1 June. During the same period, construction work will also take place on the exterior façade of the control tower. The area will be cordoned off, and the public is asked to show consideration and follow posted signs and detours.

Public transportation to and from Ålesund Airport

Airport bus

There is an airport bus to and from Ålesund city center and Moa for most major flight departures and arrivals.

There is also an airport bus to and from the express boat quay at Valderøy, corresponding with the express boat to and from Hareid.

Vy Buss operates the airport bus to and from Ålesund city center and Moa. Turvogna offers airport bus service to and from the express boat quay at Valderøy.
