Contact information and frequently asked questions
As of January 1, 2025, there will be amended requirements for the frequency of course completion for access to the airside.
This means that everyone with access to the airside, indicated by a blue square on the ID card, must complete an e-learning course every two years instead of every five years as the requirement has been until now.
A new e-learning course will also be launched for those with driving authorization on the ID card called "Driving on the Airside," and this course must also be completed every two years.
Even though course requirements will now be introduced to be completed every two years, the validity of the ID card will remain five years.
In the same way that background checks must be renewed annually, the courses must be completed during the lifespan of the ID card.
If you need to complete one or more of these courses in the near future, you will be notified by email from the ID office about the procedure.
Avinor ID card must be applied for here. Once you have completed the application form, it will be sent to your employer for processing. Follow the application process on My ID card.
Course:
Everyone who needs an Avinor ID card must complete at least one online course. Courses that need to be completed will be available on My ID card after your ID card application has been processed. You will be notified of this via SMS.
Background check:
If you need access to the security-controlled area (security) at the airport, you must apply for a background check with the Civil Aviation Authority. More information and guidance can be found on the Civil Aviation Authority's pages.
