Register your flight in Ninox Drone

Whether flying around an airport or not, drone pilots are encouraged to register all their flights in Ninox Drone.

Here, you can enter your flight plan so that other drone pilots, helicopters, and airplanes can see where you're flying. You can also see flight plans from other drone pilots in the same area.

    Drone Map

Avinor Drone Map shows where you are allowed to fly. The map shows the 5 km zone around each airport where permission is required to fly a drone. It also shows regulations and contact information for all airports. See the drone map here.

Apply for permission if you need to fly closer to an airport.

    Drone Program

Avinor's drone program facilitates the growth of drone usage in Norway.

The drone program is divided into four areas:

    1. 1

Integration of drones into the airspace

Digital systems for managing airspace with large volumes of drones and advanced operations. Ninox Drone is Avinor's UTM system (Uncrewed Traffic Management)

    2. 2

      Detection of drones

Secure the airspace to avoid conflict between drones and manned aviation. C-UAS (Counter - Uncrewed Aerial Systems)

    3. 3

      Infrastructure and ground services

Adapt or build infrastructure for new air mobility with large passenger and cargo drones.

    4. 4

      Drones for Avinor's operations

Use of drones for inspection and other tasks at own airports to streamline airport operations, as well as increase quality and safety.
