    Here you will find the most common questions and answers regarding parking at Avinor's airports.

    What are the tasks of Avinor and the parking operator?

    Avinor owns both the website and the parking areas. The parking operator sells the service and staffs the customer center – therefore, contact the operator's customer center if you have any questions.

    APCOA is the parking operator at Bergen, Stavanger, and Trondheim airports, while Onepark is the parking operator for other airports.

    Pre-order

    How do I pre-book parking?

    You can pre-book parking via "Book Parking" in the menu when you have entered the airport where you wish to park. You will also find the option to book parking on the homepage of the selected airport by clicking on "Find Parking" in the component that looks like this: 

    I have not received an order confirmation by email
    Log in to “My Profile,” click on your name and go to “My Parking.” There you can search for your parking. Check that the email address is correct, then you can resend the confirmation to yourself. Check if the email has landed in the spam inbox. If this does not work, contact the customer center for further assistance. 
    How long before the planned start-up can I book?

    Booking can be made up to 2 hours prior to entry. It may happen that there are no available slots for pre-booking. In that case, you will be notified so that you can change the date and time of your search. 

    Can I pre-book multiple parking spaces at the same time?

    You can only have one active parking reservation per license plate number. Remember to enter the correct license plate number when making a reservation.  

    Can I drive in and out multiple times on the same order?

    No, a pre-booking applies only to a parking with one entry and exit. This means one entry with the subsequent exit.



    If you exit the parking area earlier than the booked exit time, the parking is considered completed. If you enter again, this will start a new drop-in parking. Refunds for any unused parking time will not be approved.  

    What happens if I arrive early or park longer than my reservation?

    If you remain parked beyond the time you have pre-booked, it will result in an additional period. This applies whether you arrive before the reserved entry time or after the reserved exit time.


    You must pay for the extra time, regardless of the reason for the extension of parking time. The extra time will be charged at the drop-in parking rate for the respective parking area.
If you know before the trip that you need to park longer than the booked time, we recommend that you change your reservation.  

    About the parking areas

    Can I pre-book a reserved seat?

    A spot is reserved for you if you have pre-booked, but you cannot book a specific parking spot. 

    Can I pre-book a space for handicapped/disabled persons?

    It is not possible to reserve an individual disabled parking space. However, you can pre-book regular parking and use a marked disabled space if it is available. Remember to place a valid disabled card clearly visible in the car.
  

    NB: Not all of our airports have dedicated disabled parking spaces. We recommend checking this with the airport where you plan to book parking.

    Is it possible to reserve a spot for my electric car/charging station in advance?

    It is currently not possible to pre-book a dedicated charging spot. Book regular parking – if an available marked electric vehicle spot is available upon arrival, you can use it, as long as the car is connected and actively charging.  

    What happens if I don't pick up my car after the parking time ends?

    If you cannot pick up your car within 30 days after the check-out date in the pre-booking, you must contact the parking operator's customer center.

    Specify the following in your written request:

    • The vehicle's registration number and other identifying features
    • The name of the airport, parking area, and approximate location in the area
    • The booking reference number
    • The reason you were prevented from picking up the vehicle, as well as information on the expected day you will return to pick it up
    • Your contact details (phone, address, email)
    • In cases where we do not receive written notice as mentioned above, the car will be considered abandoned. In such cases, we will have the right to tow the car at the owner's expense and charge the booking holder's credit card for the parking time incurred.
    Where can I park when I have pre-booked parking?

    You will not receive a specific parking spot with a reservation. As long as you park in the correct parking area, you may park wherever you wish. This does not apply if the parking spot is marked with HC, electric car, company name, or similar.  

    What should I do if I park in the wrong parking area?

    If you enter a parking area other than the one you've booked, or enter with a different license plate number than stated in the booking, you must contact the parking operator.  

    You risk being charged the regular rate in addition to what you've paid for the pre-booking. The reason is that the automatic plate recognition will not find your license plate number in the system. Since it is your responsibility to ensure that the license plate number and parking area match the booking, no refunds are usually given for this.  

    Prices

    How are the products priced?

    The price for pre-booking parking varies and may differ from the price for drop-in parking. Pre-booking is usually cheaper than drop-in, and by booking in advance, you also secure a spot. The price for pre-booking is divided into 24-hour intervals. For example, 49 - 72 hours corresponds to 3 days, while 73 - 96 hours corresponds to 4 days. 

    Payment

    How do I pay for booking?

    When you proceed to payment, you will be redirected to the payment solution. It is secure, encrypted, and provided by Nets. Follow the instructions on the screen.

    If you are logged in with My Profile, you will have the option to save one or more cards so that you have them available next time. The only thing you need to remember next time is your CVC code. The rest will be pre-filled in Nets.

    What should I do if the payment process is interrupted or fails?

    Do the following if the payment process is interrupted or fails:

    • Update your browser: Payment may fail if your browser is outdated. Make sure to use the latest version.
    • Check the network: An unstable network can interrupt the payment. Try again with a more stable connection.
    • Verify card information: Ensure that the card information in My Profile is updated. Contact your bank if the card is declined.
    • Important to note: It is your responsibility to ensure everything is in order to complete the reservation. Avinor is not responsible for additional costs due to failed payment.
      Your card will not be charged if the payment is interrupted.
    What does it say on my bank transaction?

    The parking operator is the seller of the parking. The transaction will therefore be marked with the name of the parking operator + name of the airport on your invoice or receipt from the bank.

    How do I pay for an additional period/overtime beyond the booked time?

    The extra time starts when your booked parking time has expired. It will not include the time you have already paid for.


    Payment for the additional period is made in the same way as regular drop-in parking and varies slightly depending on the parking operator and airport. See the separate section on drop-in parking for more information.  

    Privacy

    Why do I need to enter personal information?
    • Email is used to send you practical information, including order confirmation.
    • Registration number is used to recognize your car upon arrival and departure at airports with automatic license plate recognition.

    No personal information is stored if you book without creating "My Profile," but then you must enter information each time you book parking.

    Can I enter multiple registration numbers in the pre-order?

    No, you can only enter one registration number.

    In My Profile, you can enter multiple registration numbers, but you must choose the one you wish to use in your order.


    If you arrive with a different car than the one you have provided, you will be charged double. The license plate number serves as your parking ticket.

    Change and cancellation

    Can I change or cancel my order?

    Yes, changes and cancellations can be made within a deadline, depending on whether you have booked parking with the Flex or Standard product variant. Name, email, phone number, and registration number can always be changed up to 2 hours before entry.

    Standard:

    • Can only be changed and canceled within the first 24 hours after purchasing the parking.

    Flex:

    • Can be changed and canceled up to 2 hours before the entry time.

    Some parking products, such as special offers or promotions, cannot be changed or canceled, or may have different deadlines. This will be stated in the product description.

    How do I change or cancel parking (manage the booking)?

    Changing and canceling your booking depends on whether you are within the deadline, and whether you have booked the Standard or Flex product variant.


    How to do it:

    Log in to My Profile, go to "My Parking" and find the correct booking under "purchases". Here you can make the desired change or cancellation.

    Alternatively, you can use “Change/cancel parking” on the front page for parking at your chosen airport. Here you need the reference number and email address to access and change or cancel your booking. You can also use this method if you have not used “My Profile” to book parking.

    After completing the change or cancellation, you will receive an email confirming this. This email will contain the current details of your booking.

    What elements of the pre-order can I manage?
    • Registration number: Can be changed no later than 2 hours before the entry time. If it's closer to the entry time than this, you must contact the parking operator's customer service center as you risk being charged double without the right to a refund.
    • Parking area and time for entry and exit: This depends on the terms of the product variant you have pre-booked (Standard or Flex).
    • Your information: You can change your name, phone number, and email up to 2 hours before the entry time.

    You will receive an email with updated information after you have canceled or made changes to your booking.

    Can I extend the parking while the car is parked?

    No, you cannot change or cancel a reservation once the parking period has started. If you park longer than you have booked, the extra parking time will be treated as regular drop-in parking.

    If you attempt to extend the parking by making a new reservation on an already existing reservation, the new reservation will lack entry and the first reservation will lack exit. This will result in additional periods for which you will be charged without the right to a refund.  

    Can I get a refund for my pre-order?

    No refunds will be given after the reserved entry time has passed or expired, unless you have modified or canceled according to the applicable terms.


    Reserved but unused parking time (in whole or in part) will not be refunded.



    To receive a refund, you must be able to provide an order confirmation or receipt with a valid reference number.


    Avinor or the parking operator is not obligated to refund any additional expenses that may result from the pre-booking.
