Fire and Rescue Center
Værnes Fire and Rescue Center trains and educates firefighters at Avinor. We rent out this instructor expertise through courses for companies and institutions. We also rent out the actual fire drill area.
Current customers are everyone who practices fire preparedness; municipal fire departments, insurance companies, suppliers of extinguishing agents, the transport industry, and others.
We offer:
- Theory instruction for up to 14 people, good locker room facilities, and sanitary rooms with shower opportunities. Flight simulator with pressurized kerosene where we conduct up to 8 different scenarios.
- Container rig for smoke diving with movable walls, heat, and smoke machine with many possibilities.
- "Response container" where we conduct response with regular fire smoke.
Fire Courses
We offer organizations with training needs in fire preparedness courses with our experienced instructors.
Our state-of-the-art training facility at Værnes has a flight simulator, container rig, response container, teaching room, and locker rooms with showers.
