Getting to and from the airport
Trondheim Airport Værnes is by the E6 main road, 35 kilometres north of the centre of Trondheim. Thanks to excellent transport solutions it is easy to get to and from the airport – regardless of whether you choose to use a car, taxi, bus or train.

Train
Værnes station is in the immediate vicinity of the terminal and is served by both local trains to Trondheim or Steinkjer and long-distance trains along Nordlandsbanen all the way to Bodø. Local trains traffic the station approx. once hourly, while Nordlandsbanen passes three times a day (Mo i Rana).
Travel time to Trondheim is approx. 37 minutes. Prices per adult: NOK 68.
Travel time to Steinkjer is approx one and a half hours. Price per adult: NOK 165.

Airport bus
Continuous departures from Værnes to Trondheim city centre and back to Værnes; 4 departures every hour on weekdays, day and evening.
Nettbuss also traffics Trondheim city centre, call 815 22 900 for timetable.
SkYbus
Airport transfer between Åre and Trondheim Airport Værnes.
A new bus service between Åre and Værnes started on 19 December. On Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays SkYbus will operate a transfer service between Åre and Trondheim Airport Værnes. This entails that passengers on international flights to and from Værnes will have an improved transport service to Åre.
Parking: The bus will park outside Terminal A at the arrivals level.
