Check-In and Attendance
Attendance times
Make sure you get to the airport in plenty of time. The length of time prior to departure depends on the airline, so remember to check the time that applies to you. The usual attendance times are.
Domestic flights: at least one hour before departure
International flights:at least one and a half hours before departure
Charter flights:at least two hours before departure. On charter flights check-in often closes one hour before departure.
Remember to allocate extra time during holidays.
Seat choice
On international flights you are assigned a seat upon check-in. Most charter flights assign seats prior to check-in. Some budget airlines do not assign seats. If you require special seating arrangements, contact your airline well in advance of your flight.
Check-in machines
Self service check-in means that you can check in yourself using machines located in the check-in area. Self Service check-in is quick and easy and you maintain control of all actions. Even if you are changing flights, baggage is checked in all the way to your final destination. If you are unsure of the procedure, staff will assist you. Please note. Not all airports have check-in machines.
Check-in via the Internet or mobile phone
Several airlines offer solutions if you prefer to check in beforehand. Not only do you save time, you can also select your favourite seat, make changes and retrieve other information. See your airline’s website for information on check-in via the internet or mobile phone.
NOTE! If you are checking in via the Internet or mobile phone for the first time, it is important that you familiarize yourself with the service in plenty of time before your flight.
