The service center at the airport provides information on todays flights and general information about services available at Bergen airport.
The information counter is centrally located in the arrival hall. The airport attendants will answer your questions about todays flights and the airport in general. They can also help you make a photocopy or send a fax. Airport attendants will also help you with tourist and travel information. This is also where forgotten items found at the airport are delivered.
The handling agents SAS and Norportl have information counters at the airport. KLM counter at SAS Servicesenter has limited opening hours. More information available under Airlines and their handling agents.
The Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority has compiled a special overview of your rights as an air passenger in the event of delays and cancellations.
Cancellations
If your flight is cancelled you are entitled to:
food
hotel accommodation if necessary
a choice between refund or rerouting of the ticket
standardized compensation of between 250 and 600 euros, depending on the distance you are flying
Exception: You are not entitled to compensation if the airline can document that the cancellation was due to an extraordinary circumstance
Delays
If your flight is delayed more than 2 hours you are entitled to:
food
hotel accommodation if necessary
If the flight is delayed more than 5 hours you can demand a refund of the price of the ticket.
You are NOT entitled to standardized compensation in the event of delays.
Denial of boarding
If you are denied boarding you are entitled to:
food
hotel accommodation if necessary
standardized compensation between 125 and 600 euros depending the distance you are flying
Exception: The above-mentioned claim lapses if the denial of boarding is due to your own actions.
If the flight is overbooked the airline SHALL call for passengers willing to take a later flight. If no one volunteers the airline may refuse to board you.
